But the tour doesn't stop there. We'll also explore some of the lesser-known parts of the castle, including the Western Panorama and Hospital Square, where The National War Museum of Scotland is now housed. And with our extended 2-hour tour, you'll have plenty of time to soak in the history and atmosphere of this iconic Scottish landmark.

The tour lasts approximately 2 hours. We do recommend allowing a further 60 minutes on the site to explore the museums and the exhibits.
Please wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather, as this tour takes place outdoors.
Note that due to the historic nature of the castle, some areas may not be accessible for guests with mobility impairments
Please be sure to arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. The tour will only wait a further 5 minutes for latecomers, after which time the guide may not be contactable until after the end of the tour.
Please note the tour DOES NOT start at Edinburgh Castle. We meet further down the Royal Mile at the Statue of David Hume, 379-381 High Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1PW.
